micro1 is engaging Video Data Collectors to support an AI training project across the UK, Canada, India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. Contributors will initially capture natural first-person footage using a personal smartphone and head strap before transitioning to company-provided Insta360 equipment. The work includes operating Insta360 X-series cameras, managing and exporting video files, selecting appropriate recording locations, coordinating group recordings when required, and maintaining strict privacy, consent, safety, metadata, and data-quality standards. No prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Capture natural first-person video footage of everyday activities using a personal smartphone with a head strap during the initial project phase.
- Operate Insta360 X-series cameras with appropriate setup, framing, and recording settings.
- Manage video files and use Insta360 Studio to reframe and export footage according to project specifications.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for camera settings, storage, file transfers, and export issues.
- Independently identify suitable shooting locations within approved settings while following privacy, consent, and safety protocols.
- Transition to company-provided video equipment and updated recording workflows during subsequent project phases.
- Record footage across approved public, commercial, outdoor, and other applicable environments.
- Coordinate group activities and recordings when assignments require additional participants.
- Obtain all required written consents and permissions for recordings involving other participants.
- Maintain high standards of video data quality, metadata accuracy, and reliability across project deliverables.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and clarification requests effectively with project coordinators.

Requirements
- Must be located in the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, or Australia.
- Proven experience in video capture or similar data collection activities with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable access to a high-quality personal smartphone suitable for video recording during the initial project phase.
- Ability to follow complex recording and submission instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to privacy, consent, safety, and metadata requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on accuracy and clarity.
- Comfort working in both home and public environments for data collection.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other participants when group recordings are assigned.

- Experience with an Insta360 X-series camera such as the X3, X4, or X5 is preferred.
- Current ownership of an Insta360 X-series camera is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with INSV files and Insta360 Studio for reframing and exporting footage is preferred.
- No prior experience in AI is required.
