Shopify Specialist
micro1 is engaging Shopify Specialists to provide subject-matter expertise for an AI training project focused on e-commerce workflows and analytics. Contributors will review proposed Shopify task structures, validate their alignment with real platform workflows and data models, evaluate analytical scenarios, identify gaps and unrealistic assumptions, and recommend improvements based on hands-on Shopify and e-commerce experience. The engagement is approximately 5–10 hours per week, and no prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Review proposed Shopify and e-commerce task structures and identify where they diverge from actual platform workflows and data models.
- Provide clear and actionable written and verbal feedback on the realism and completeness of analytical scenarios and deliverables.
- Advise on Shopify's core data objects, including orders, products, customers, and reporting, to ensure analytical tasks align with real-world usage.
- Identify gaps, edge cases, and unrealistic assumptions in scenario framing based on direct hands-on Shopify experience.
- Recommend improvements to task structures, terminology, and metrics using best practices from the Shopify and e-commerce ecosystem.
- Validate that terminology and definitions are consistent with standard Shopify and e-commerce analytics language.
- Suggest additional scenarios, edge cases, and refinements that better represent the perspectives of Shopify operators and analysts.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of deep, hands-on experience within the Shopify ecosystem across store operations, development, analytics, or related work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Shopify's data model, including orders, products, customers, and reporting.
- Strong foundation in e-commerce analytics, including conversion, retention, cohort, and revenue measurements.
- Proven ability to provide clear and effective feedback in both written and verbal formats.
- Direct experience advising on best practices for structuring Shopify-related analytical work.
- Ability to commit approximately 5–10 hours per week to the contractor engagement.
- Experience working across multiple Shopify stores or as a consultant or agency professional is preferred.
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus and advanced reporting is a plus.
- Experience with analytical tools such as SQL or BI platforms including Looker is a plus.
- No prior experience in AI is required.
