Responsibilities
- Prepare and review personal Form 1040 and small business tax returns, including Schedule C, S-Corp 1120-S, and Partnership Form 1065, to ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
- Advise on tax optimization strategies and explain complex tax concepts through clear written and verbal communication.
- Assess and critique AI-generated tax advice or content against provided rubrics, delivering concise written feedback to improve model performance.
- Verify documentation and support questions regarding tax filing status, deadlines, and required forms.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of evaluation rubrics and grading criteria for tax-related AI outputs.
- Stay up to date with changes in federal and state tax codes relevant to project cases and deliverables.

Requirements
- Active CPA license in good standing, with eligibility to practice in the United States.
- Extensive experience preparing and filing both personal and small business tax returns.
- Proficiency in current federal tax regulations and the income tax requirements of at least one U.S. state.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical tax topics for diverse audiences.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional tax preparation or advisory experience.
- Familiarity with AI model evaluation, red-teaming, RLHF, or providing feedback on machine-generated outputs is preferred but not required.
- Experience drafting rubrics, assessment guidelines, or scoring criteria for complex subject matter is preferred.
- Experience with professional tax software such as ProSeries, Lacerte, or Drake is a plus.
