Responsibilities

  • Seed realistic multi-turn litigation scenarios by drafting facts, parties, legal issues, procedural posture, and initiating documents for each case.
  • Direct junior legal contributors in producing briefs, motions, discovery strategy documents, and demand letters while maintaining high professional standards.
  • Conduct holistic quality control at each stage of dispute simulations and review both junior and peer-level legal work as a neutral evaluator.
  • Develop and refine rubrics defining success criteria at each litigation stage and translate practical legal expertise into clear AI evaluation benchmarks.
  • Identify ambiguities, edge cases, and procedural complexities that challenge AI performance and provide actionable feedback to the project team.
  • Maintain alignment with team leads and legal peers as project specifications and litigation scenario requirements evolve.
  • Use only public or synthetic materials and ensure client-confidential information is not used during the engagement.

Requirements

  • Licensed US attorney with active or lapsed bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of hands-on US litigation experience, including courtroom advocacy, discovery, motion practice, and case team leadership.
  • Deep expertise in commercial contract disputes, shareholder or LLC disputes, commercial real estate litigation, or a combination of these areas.
  • Fluency across the full litigation lifecycle, including pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, and resolution strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with mastery of formal legal drafting and adversarial reasoning.
  • Proven ability to review and direct junior legal work to a high professional standard without needing to personally redraft all work.
  • Strong professional judgment when evaluating complex or ambiguous litigation scenarios.
  • Ability to identify procedural complexities and translate litigation expertise into structured evaluation criteria.
  • Adaptability to a fast-evolving, remote-first project environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and calibrate effectively with diverse legal experts.
