Robotics Expert

Responsibilities

• Review video recordings of robotic arms performing tasks and annotate them according to detailed guidelines.
• Tag actions, events, and errors in each video session, marking where each action starts and ends.
• Evaluate whether robots completed assigned tasks correctly and label failures such as missed grasps, dropped objects, poor paths, or inaccurate positioning.
• Apply labeling rules consistently across all sessions to maintain high-quality training data.
• Flag unclear or borderline cases to project managers and help resolve ambiguities.
• Use knowledge of robot motion, perception, sensors, and system integration to explain observed failures.
• Suggest improvements to annotation guidelines when gaps or recurring confusion are identified.
• Complete assigned annotation volumes on time and at the required quality level.

Skills

Requirements

• Background in robotics, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with robotic arms or robotic systems in industry, research, or laboratory settings.
• Solid understanding of robot motion control, grasping, perception, and sensors.
• Ability to distinguish correct from faulty robot behavior through video observation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across long sessions of similar footage.
• Ability to follow written technical guidelines precisely.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Previous video annotation or data labeling experience is a plus but not required.
