Purchasing Agent
micro1 is engaging Purchasing Agents to contribute to a customer project focused on advancing AI systems in the procurement domain. Contributors will apply procurement expertise to create realistic, expert-level sourcing and purchasing tasks, including RFP drafting, bid evaluation, supplier scoring, sourcing recommendations, and contract negotiation scenarios. The work also involves creating procurement artifacts in inconsistent formats, developing grading rubrics for AI evaluation agents, and validating tasks against real-world procurement challenges across IT, industrial, and professional-services categories. No prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Design and author expert-level procurement tasks reflecting real-world complexity.
- Create scenarios involving RFP drafting, bid evaluation, supplier scoring, and contract negotiation.
- Source, create, and format realistic procurement artifacts such as supplier quotations, specification sheets, pricing tables, and technical documentation.
- Represent procurement information across multiple inconsistent formats.
- Define defensible sourcing recommendations with clear and well-reasoned justifications.
- Develop comprehensive grading rubrics for AI grading agents.
- Create evaluation criteria focused on vendor comparison, contract reasoning, bid analysis, and procurement decision-making.
- Ensure tasks represent granular procurement challenges in IT, industrial, and professional-services categories.
- Provide clear and structured written and verbal explanations of procurement challenges, task context, and evaluation standards.
- Collaborate with micro1’s project team to review, refine, and validate created tasks and rubrics.
