Responsibilities

Prioritize and triage incoming emergency requests accurately under high-pressure and time-sensitive conditions.
Monitor and manage multiple communication channels simultaneously, including radio, phone, and digital platforms.
Apply APCO or NENA protocols to assess, document, and route incidents according to established procedures.
Provide clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal responses during emergency communication scenarios.
Provide detailed feedback on incident handling, decision-making, escalation procedures, and response quality.
Contribute to the development of realistic dispatch scenarios, including common incidents and complex edge cases.
Review and annotate emergency communication transcripts and incident logs for accuracy and clarity.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of active professional experience as a police dispatcher, emergency communications dispatcher, coordinator, or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and triage incidents in high-pressure environments.
Strong multitasking skills with experience managing radio, phone, and digital communication channels simultaneously.
Knowledge of APCO or NENA emergency communications protocols.
APCO and/or NENA certification is strongly preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to accuracy.
Familiarity with CAD systems, dispatch workflows, and modern emergency communication technologies.
Experience documenting procedures, incident handling, training materials, or quality assurance processes.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote project environment.
