Create Reinforcement Learning environments that test AI models on complex software engineering problems using Model Context Protocol tools.
Design tasks involving bug fixing, feature implementation, codebase refactoring, and software performance optimization.
Build reproducible evaluation environments that require AI agents to discover and reason over information from real MCP servers.
Develop deterministic verification methods for accurately measuring software engineering performance and MCP tool usage.
Create golden reference solutions that demonstrate correct and maintainable approaches to evaluation tasks.
Ensure environments and verification logic are reliable, reproducible, and suitable for rigorous AI evaluation.
Document technical approaches, environment setup, validation methods, and expected solutions clearly.

Requirements

Proficiency in at least one of C++, Python, Java, Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning.
Demonstrated experience debugging complex software issues and delivering maintainable solutions.
Strong background in feature development and codebase refactoring.
Proven ability to optimize software for performance and scalability.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience collaborating successfully with cross-functional teams, ideally in remote environments.
Previous experience working with large-scale or distributed codebases is preferred.
Familiarity with modern AI or machine learning systems is advantageous but not required.
Experience with rigorous code reviews and software engineering best practices is preferred.
Availability of approximately 15 hours per week.
