Responsibilities

  • Draft authentic litigation work product, including motions, briefs, demand letters, and discovery materials, in response to evolving commercial real estate disputes.
  • Produce turn-by-turn legal deliverables under senior direction, reflecting the process of preparing drafts for partner review in professional legal practice.
  • Develop and document rubric criteria alongside legal drafts, defining the characteristics of strong responses to opposing counsel submissions.
  • Incorporate senior feedback efficiently during each round while adapting drafts with minimal need for repeated direction.
  • Maintain continuity in case theory, litigation strategy, and procedural posture across multiple engagement turns.
  • Identify and flag procedural uncertainties, missing information, and factual ambiguities requiring resolution by senior attorneys or project leads.

Requirements

  • Active or lapsed license to practice law in at least one United States jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-JD litigation experience involving substantive drafting, discovery, and motion practice.
  • Professional experience handling commercial real estate litigation involving leases, transactions, development, landlord-tenant matters, zoning, or financing and security interests.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft complex litigation documents under direction in commercial real estate disputes.
  • Strong understanding of case theory and litigation strategy across evolving commercial disputes.
  • Exceptional written English skills with strong command of legal drafting, analysis, and professional legal language.
  • Ability to incorporate senior feedback efficiently while maintaining a high standard of legal work.
  • Experience at a BigLaw, boutique, or mid-market law firm is advantageous.
  • Experience across multiple commercial real estate matter types is advantageous.
  • Federal court commercial litigation or previous participation in AI-based legal projects is a plus.
  • Must be based in the United States.
