Japanese Language Expert

Responsibilities

• Transcribe Japanese audio samples accurately, capturing content, context, speaker nuances, and linguistic details.
• Review, edit, and validate Japanese transcripts for completeness, clarity, and adherence to project guidelines.
• Correct errors, inconsistencies, and ambiguities in machine-generated or human-created transcriptions.
• Annotate audio files or transcripts with relevant metadata and contextual notes as required.
• Collaborate with project managers and other experts to maintain consistency and quality across deliverables.
• Use transcription tools and platforms to process and submit work according to project requirements.
• Contribute linguistic and cultural insights to improve AI model understanding and performance.

Skills

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Japanese with strong comprehension of spoken and written language.
• Professional experience in audio transcription, linguistic review, localization, or related language work is strongly encouraged.
• Familiarity with transcription conventions, audio review workflows, annotation tools, or speech data projects is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize subtle language, pronunciation, and contextual differences in audio samples.
• Proficiency in English to follow project instructions and manage occasional English-language content.
• Previous experience in AI training data, data annotation, or language technology projects is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to delivering high-quality, timely submissions.
