Contributors will apply investment banking expertise to company and industry research, buyer and target screening, comparable company analysis, financial modeling, valuation, transaction analysis, and pitchbook-style materials. The work also involves reviewing financial outputs for numerical, methodological, and strategic issues and providing precise, actionable feedback to help train next-generation AI systems. No prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive company and industry research to support data-driven AI training initiatives.
- Perform and review buyer and target screening, comparable company analysis, and financial modeling tasks.
- Build, update, review, and troubleshoot detailed Excel-based valuation and transaction models.
- Ensure financial models maintain methodological accuracy, numerical integrity, and logical consistency.
- Prepare and edit materials similar to client presentations and investment banking pitchbooks that reflect transaction execution scenarios and strategic rationale.
- Analyze and critique sample financial and transaction materials for numerical errors, weak strategy, unclear logic, and other deficiencies.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to improve financial analyses and transaction materials.
- Explain accounting treatments, valuation adjustments, transaction assumptions, and deal sensitivities.
- Trace and explain how key assumptions influence valuation, transaction, and analytical outcomes.
- Review analytical and presentation materials to ensure they meet senior banker or client-facing standards.
- Deliver precise written and verbal explanations of complex financial concepts tailored to different audiences.

Requirements
- Experience as a former Senior Associate, preferably third-year, or Vice President from an M&A or industry-coverage team at a leading investment bank, established M&A boutique, or sector-focused advisory firm is preferred.
- Substantial hands-on experience with live acquisition or sale processes.
- Strong track record of producing high-quality financial analysis and client-facing deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to both produce and review analytical and presentation materials to senior banker or client standards.
- Advanced Excel financial modeling skills, including model building, troubleshooting, scenario analysis, and presentation of analytical outputs.
- Direct experience conducting company and industry research, target screening, comparable company analysis, and pitchbook preparation.
- Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, accounting treatments, valuation adjustments, and transaction sensitivities.
- Ability to identify and clearly explain quantitative inaccuracies, methodological problems, and strategic weaknesses in transaction materials.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and actionable feedback.
- Strong presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts and the impact of key assumptions on analytical outcomes.
- No prior professional AI experience is required.
