Hospitalist Physician
micro1 is engaging Hospitalist Physicians to contribute their medical expertise to a customer project focused on inpatient care, medical record review, and clinical documentation standards. In this role, physicians will review FHIR data and clinical notes, verify whether clinical information is supported by medical records, identify documentation inconsistencies, and provide expert feedback to help train next-generation AI systems.

Responsibilities
- Review medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes, for AI training and evaluation.
- Verify whether clinical information and claims are accurately supported by the underlying medical record.
- Review inpatient documentation, including history of present illness, past medical history, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Apply established review guidelines and evaluation standards consistently across assigned cases.
- Identify missing, incorrect, unsupported, or inconsistent information within medical records.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to improve AI model performance and clinical data quality.
- Communicate findings and review decisions clearly with project stakeholders.
- Apply real-world inpatient and hospitalist expertise when evaluating clinical documentation.

Requirements
- MD or DO qualification with board certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
- Current or recent inpatient or hospitalist experience within the last 2 years.
- Strong understanding of inpatient clinical documentation and hospital workflows.
- Ability to review clinical notes and raw medical record data accurately.
- Familiarity with FHIR records and structured clinical data is valuable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to apply review guidelines consistently.
- Experience with chart review, clinical documentation improvement, utilization review, or medical coding and quality assurance is preferred.
- Experience working across multiple inpatient services or specialties is advantageous.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and providing feedback.
