Responsibilities
- Interpret dimensions and geometric relationships from technical engineering drawings.
- Translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical solid models.
- Decompose complex mechanical components into appropriate geometric features.
- Model curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations.
- Use Python to generate and automate CAD geometry.
- Export valid and watertight solid models in formats such as STEP.
- Validate model dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia properties.
- Diagnose subtle differences between expected and generated geometry.
- Produce reproducible CAD solutions that operate correctly in clean technical environments.

Requirements
- Strong Python programming ability.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry.
- Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and technical schematics.
- Strong 3D spatial reasoning and attention to geometric precision.
- Experience validating or troubleshooting CAD models.
- Ability to translate two-dimensional engineering specifications into accurate three-dimensional solid models.
- Understanding of geometric features such as sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations.
- Ability to generate or automate CAD geometry programmatically.
- Relevant experience with CAD and geometry tools such as build123d, CadQuery, FreeCAD, OpenCascade, Fusion 360, Onshape, SolidWorks, trimesh, or comparable software is advantageous.
- Formal education and a specific number of years of professional experience are not strict requirements.
- Ability to contribute approximately 15 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
