German Language Expert

Responsibilities

• Listen to and accurately transcribe German audio content while preserving original meaning, tone, and context.
• Review and edit transcripts for adherence to linguistic and stylistic guidelines.
• Annotate transcripts with relevant metadata such as speaker identification, timestamps, and context cues as required.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify ambiguous content and resolve linguistic uncertainties.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of transcription accuracy and consistency.
• Provide insightful feedback to improve transcription processes and guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle project data securely according to compliance protocols.

Skills

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in German with strong comprehension of spoken and written language.
• Demonstrable experience in transcription, linguistics, or related language-focused work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with audio playback and transcription tools and standard office software.
• Ability to interpret and apply project guidelines precisely.
• Familiarity with linguistic annotation and metadata practices is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive problem-solving ability in remote settings.
