Finnish Transcription Expert

Responsibilities

• Transcribe Finnish audio recordings with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Annotate, segment, and label linguistic data according to project-specific guidelines.
• Review and validate transcriptions from other contributors to maintain consistency and quality standards.
• Identify and flag ambiguities, dialectal variations, and unclear audio for further analysis.
• Document transcription challenges and contribute suggestions for improving project guidelines.
• Collaborate through written and verbal communication to clarify requirements and resolve project questions.
• Complete assignments within agreed project timelines and milestones.

Skills

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Finnish with a strong understanding of regional dialects and colloquial language.
• Proven experience in transcription, linguistics, or other language-related projects.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and follow complex linguistic and project-specific guidelines.
• Responsive and proactive approach to remote, collaborative work.
• Familiarity with transcription platforms, linguistic annotation tools, or language datasets is a plus.
