Responsibilities
- Review and assess adolescent eating disorder cases and provide detailed written evaluations of clinical and medical risks.
- Apply DSM-5 criteria and validated screening tools such as EDE-Q and SCOFF to accurately characterize clinical presentations.
- Determine medical stability and identify cases requiring urgent escalation using recognized frameworks such as MEED.
- Evaluate the appropriateness of treatment modalities such as Family-Based Treatment and CBT-E according to the adolescent's clinical stage.
- Identify comorbidities and safeguarding concerns that may influence clinical severity or required intervention.
- Produce clear and actionable guidance for non-specialists grounded in current clinical standards and guidelines.
- Benchmark clinical judgments against peer assessments and established guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.

Requirements
- 3–5+ years of post-qualification experience working directly with adolescent patients in a clinical setting.
- Specialist background in eating disorders, child and adolescent psychiatry or psychology, or adolescent or paediatric medicine with a focus on eating disorders.
- Active clinical license or professional registration in good standing.
- Recent experience managing an adolescent caseload or active clinical practice within the past two years.
- Proficiency with evidence-based assessment tools and diagnostic frameworks including DSM-5, EDE-Q, and SCOFF.
- Familiarity with medical risk assessment protocols such as MEED.
- Knowledge of evidence-based eating disorder interventions including Family-Based Treatment and CBT-E.
- Strong ability to assess clinical severity, medical stability, comorbidities, and safeguarding concerns.
- Excellent written English skills at native or equivalent professional proficiency.
- Experience with medical stabilization of adolescents is preferred.
- Formal training in Family-Based Treatment or CBT-E is advantageous.
- Expertise in co-occurring conditions such as self-harm or anxiety is desirable.
