Data Scientist
micro1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage experienced data scientists and quantitative professionals to improve how advanced AI models handle statistics, machine learning, experimentation, data analysis, and quantitative reasoning. Contributors will evaluate model outputs, create expert-level prompts and datasets, develop reference solutions, identify methodological and statistical errors, and provide structured feedback to improve model capabilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements
- Strong expertise in data science, statistics, machine learning, or quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency with Python for data science and quantitative workflows.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, experimentation, and data analysis.
- Experience working with data modeling and analytical tools such as Pandas.
- Ability to identify methodological flaws, statistical errors, and weak quantitative reasoning.
- Ability to create expert-level prompts, datasets, and reference solutions.
- Clear written communication of technical and statistical concepts.
- At least one year of experience at a top technology, finance, or research company is preferred, with at least part of that experience within the past seven years.
- Undergraduate degree from a top-ranked university is preferred.
- Being based in an English-speaking country is preferred.
