  • Solve advanced physics problems within areas of specialization and provide rigorous, well-documented derivations and analyses.

  • Identify ambiguities in project materials and propose well-reasoned interpretations or clarifications.
  • Iterate on submitted solutions based on feedback from project reviewers and cleanly integrate required corrections.
  • Maintain rigorous standards of scientific documentation and reproducibility consistent with professional research practices.

Requirements

  • PhD in Physics or advanced-stage PhD candidacy with active research experience in a relevant physics subfield.
  • Research expertise in one or more relevant areas such as High Energy Physics, Mathematical Physics, Biophysics, Statistical Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, AMO or Quantum Optics, Gravitation, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Quantum Information, or Optical Properties of Materials.
  • Two to five recent representative publications from approximately the past five years with accessible arXiv or DOI records are preferred.
  • Proficiency with LaTeX for presenting mathematical and scientific work.
  • Proficiency with SymPy, Python, and Jupyter for computational and verification workflows.
  • Strong written technical communication skills with demonstrated ability to produce clear, precise, and well-reasoned scientific outputs.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving skills with the ability to isolate key physical principles in complex problems.
  • Availability to contribute consistently for approximately 8–10 weeks.
  • Ability to commit approximately 10–15 or more hours per week with a flexible schedule.
  • No prior experience in AI is required.
