Civil/Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine detailed civil and structural drawing sets including plans, elevations, sections, and schedules using Revit or ArchiCAD.
• Author and manage BIM models representing complex or multi-building projects while maintaining compliance with relevant engineering code families.
• Export and validate IFC 2x3 or IFC4 files, checking geometry, classification, and mapping integrity.
• Document and communicate technical decisions and design rationale clearly through written and verbal channels.
• Evaluate project requirements, identify constructability issues, and suggest improvements based on professional experience.
• Assess the functionality and usability of BIM tools and data workflows.
• Provide domain expertise to inform the training and evaluation of AI-powered engineering solutions.

Skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on post-degree practice authoring complete drawing sets and leading model development.
• At least 3 years of daily expert-level BIM authoring experience in Revit, ArchiCAD, or BlenderBIM.
• Experience with IFC export and validation.
• Direct experience with multidisciplinary coordination and complex or multi-building projects.
• Ability to reference and apply Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, IS, or BS standards in design work.
• Fluent written and spoken English with precise technical communication skills.
• Professional licensing such as PE, CEng, or Chartered is a plus.
• Experience with openBIM scripting such as IfcOpenShell or Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of clash detection/model checking tools such as Navisworks or Solibri is a plus.
• Experience with engineering analysis tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, Robot, or Tekla is a plus.
• Experience creating custom BIM families or prior AI data annotation is a plus.
